Lights, Camera, Action!
This past Friday night, FOLF transformed the gym into a cinematic wonderland for our Spring Snacks and Film Night! The energy was electric as children gathered, eager for a night of popcorn, laughter, and big-screen fun.
Key Stage 1
For the younger crowd, we kicked things off in Reception for the KS1 children, with the Disney sensation, Encanto. The enchanting story of the Madrigal family and their magical Casita had little ones captivated. Snacks were handed out at the beginning so our audience could sit and enjoy the film. We saw smiles erupt during the catchy musical numbers, and a chorus of “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” echoed down the hallways long after the credits rolled.
Key Stage 2 Film Night
As the night continued, the excitement built for the second feature – the animated favourite film, Super Mario Bros. This brought back nostalgic memories for committee members while introducing the iconic video game characters to a whole new generation. The energetic adventure had everyone cheering for Mario and Luigi as they battled Bowser and his Koopa Troopas!
Of course, no movie night is complete without delicious treats. FOLF provided a bounty of popcorn, sweets, and chocolate bars, keeping everyone fueled throughout the evening. We also saw many children come prepared with cozy clothes and pillows, creating a truly comfortable and communal atmosphere on the school gym mats.
The overwhelming success of the event is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our PTA volunteers. From setting up the projector and screen to ensuring a smooth flow of events, their efforts made the night a truly memorable one for our school community.
The joy on the faces of the children, the laughter echoing through the gym, and the overall sense of togetherness made Movie Night a resounding success. We can’t wait to see you all at our next PTA event!
